Belangrijkste verschil - Samsung Gear 2 versus Apple Watch
Het belangrijkste verschil tussen de Samsung Gear S2 en de Apple Watch zit hem in het ontwerp van beide slimme horloges; de Samsung Gear S2 zal naar verwachting in een ronde vorm komen, terwijl de Apple Watch rechthoekig van vorm is. Er zijn veel andere functies die bij beide slimme horloges worden geleverd. Laten we deze twee meesterwerken eens nader bekijken en zien wat ze te bieden hebben.
Samsung Gear S2 Review - Functies en specificaties
De Samsung Gear S2 met de codenaam Orbis is het volgende slimme horloge dat wordt uitgebracht door de Koreaanse elektronicagigant. Een paar afbeeldingen van de Samsung Gear S2 zijn onlangs vrijgegeven tijdens het laatste uitpakevenement.
Deze afbeeldingen lieten zien dat het horloge rond van vorm zou zijn. De app-pictogrammen zijn ook rond. Tijdens het uitpakevenement werden ook enkele details van de ontwikkelaar onthuld. De software-ontwikkelkit voor de smartwatch werd in april 2015 uitgebracht. Deze SDK onthulde een aantal geweldige functies die te verwachten waren bij de Samsung Gear S2. In het volgende gedeelte worden enkele van de verwachte functies van de Samsung Gear S2 uitgebreid
Ontwerp
De Samsung Gear S2 is naar verwachting compact, licht en zeer comfortabel om de pols. De buitenkant is naar verwachting in roestvrij staal. Er zullen twee knoppen aan de zijkant van het horloge zijn die voor meer innovatieve functies kunnen zorgen.
Datum van publicatie
De Samsung Gear S2 zou naar verwachting begin dit jaar worden uitgebracht op het Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, maar dat zou niet zo zijn, omdat een aankondiging hierover nooit is uitgebracht. Tijdens het recente Samsung Unpacked-evenement onthulde het enkele van de functies die kunnen worden verwacht van de Samsung Gear S2. Op de 3 rd september, zullen we in staat om de details van de prijs van het horloge en alle details met betrekking tot het apparaat te krijgen. De onthulling vindt plaats tijdens de IFA Samsung-conferentie op de bovengenoemde datum.
Versies
Volgens betrouwbare bronnen zal de Samsung Gear S2 naar verwachting in 3 smaken komen, zoals de Apple Watch. Geen van de details van deze versies is aan het licht gekomen, behalve dat hun codenamen Orbis Classic, Orbis S1 en Orbis S2 zijn. We zouden kunnen aannemen dat een van de drie modellen een luxe zou kunnen zijn, een of twee smartwatch-maten van de drie zouden kunnen verschillen.
Het Classic-model kan worden geleverd met ingebouwde LTE-ondersteuning. Dit wordt naar verwachting ook een premium-editie van de Samsung Galaxy S2. Andere geruchten suggereren dat de Samsung Galaxy S2 een nano-sim zou kunnen ondersteunen, en verschillende modellen zouden ook afzonderlijk voor mannen en vrouwen kunnen worden uitgebracht.
De officiële releasemodellen van de horloges hebben de namen SM-R720, SM-R730 en SM-R732. Dit geeft niet veel details weg, maar zou kunnen bevestigen dat er drie verschillende modellen zijn. Dit zou kunnen betekenen dat de maten, het materiaal en de prijs kunnen verschillen voor de bovengenoemde drie modellen. Als het bovenstaande feit waar is, betekent dit een grote strategische zet, aangezien dit in het verleden niet het geval was, aangezien alle modellen dezelfde vorm en grootte hebben.
Hardware
De verwachting is dat de Samsung Gear S2 wordt geleverd met een draaibare bezel, die met behulp van het touchscreen fysiek bestuurbaar zal zijn. Het zal ook worden geleverd met extra functies, zoals het regelen van de volumeniveaus, scrollen en zoomen en helderheidsaanpassingen.
De Samsung Gear S2 wordt aangedreven door een Exynos 1,2 GHz dual-coreprocessor. De grafische weergave wordt versterkt met een GPU van 450 MHz. De geheugenondersteuning zal 768 MB bedragen. De processor is Exynos, gemaakt door Samsung's eigen ARM-gebaseerde architectuur, en zal naar verwachting goed optimaliseren met de software voor verbeterde prestaties.
Opslag
De opslagcapaciteit is naar verwachting 4 GB, terwijl de batterijcapaciteit volgens het specificatieblad licht is gedaald van 300 mAh naar 250 mAh. Dit kon niet als een probleem worden beschouwd, aangezien het scherm klein is en minder stroom verbruikt.
Scherm
Het display van de smartwatch is gemaakt van AMOLED-technologie voor super scherpe, duidelijke details. De grootte van het scherm staat op 1,18 inch 360 x 360. De pixeldichtheid van het scherm is 305ppi, wat zelfs beter is dan sommige smartphones op de markt.
Sensoren
De smartwatch wordt geleverd met een reeks verschillende sensoren voor verschillende specifieke taken. Enkele daarvan zijn de gyroscoop, versnellingsmeter en de hartslagmeter die onlangs werd bevestigd tijdens het onverpakte evenement van Samsung in 2015. Er zijn andere functies zoals Bluetooth en Wi-Fi-ondersteuning die bij dit apparaat worden geleverd. Het zal niet in een stand-alone modus kunnen werken, aangezien de netwerkconnectiviteit slechts beperkt is tot 3G.
Software
Het bedrijf probeert weg te blijven van Android-slijtage en zijn eigen besturingssysteem, de Tizen-software, te promoten. Enkele van de apps die op de Samsung-promotie werden weergegeven, zijn onder meer de CNN en FidMe.
Draadloos opladen
Volgens geruchten zal de Samsung Gear S2 naar verwachting draadloos opladen ondersteunen. Er wordt gezegd dat dit een out-of-the-box-functie is. Dit zal een vergelijkbare functie zijn als Android-wear, dat een dock heeft om op te laden wanneer het niet wordt gedragen. Als dit waar is, zal dit een erg leuke functie zijn in vergelijking met de vorige modellen.
Biometrie
Samsung heeft gewerkt aan een biosignaal-ID bij het doen van betalingen met de smartwatch. Hierdoor kan de identiteit van de drager worden herkend en kunnen er mobiele betalingen plaatsvinden. Ook zijn er berichten dat Samsung Pay met behulp van NFC door het slimme horloge wordt aangeboden.
Apple Watch Review - Functies en specificaties
Traditionele horloges die we dragen konden ons alleen de tijd vertellen, maar nu zijn de elektronicagiganten in staat horloges te maken die vele andere taken kunnen uitvoeren. Het Apple-horloge is geen uitzondering, want het concurreert op de draagbare markt om ook de ruimte van smartwatches te veroveren. Deze kunnen worden beschouwd als computers die op de pols worden gedragen, zelfs kleiner dan de smartphones die we allemaal bezitten. Apple-horloges kunnen worden beschouwd als het hoogtepunt van het slimme horloge. Zelfs als u geen gewone horlogedrager bent, zullen de mogelijkheden en eigenschappen van dit meesterwerk u anders doen denken.
Ontwerp
The Apple watch comes in two sizes; one being 38mm and the other being 42mm. There are three models to choose from; Watch, Sports, and Edition. The Sports model is made up of aluminum while the high-end watch comes in 18 karats yellow gold and rose colors. The watch has been made to immaculate detail; steel is polished to a gloss finish. The top has the crisp OLED screen while the bottom of the watch come with a heart rate monitor. The digital crown placed on the side of the watch is also polished. All these pieces fit into to make a watch that is almost perfect. This can be considered the most perfectly crafted watch to be found in the market which gives it a luxurious finish to whoever owns it.
Size
Most of the smartwatches in the market have a round face, but the apple has a square shape with rounded edges. The apple watch comes in two sizes. One in a 38mm and the other being in the 42mm size range. These measurements have to be made from the top of the face to the bottom. There is no specific reason for the different sizes, but this could only be to support both genders.
Screen resolution
The larger twin being the 42mm model has a resolution of 390X312 pixels whereas the smaller twin supports a resolution of 340X272 pixels. The size measurement is not the usual diagonal measurement but from top to bottom. So the pixel density of the retinal display is a bit complicated. The larger smart watch has a pixel density of 302ppi whereas the smaller match has a pixel density of 290ppi.
Hardware
The chip that is powering the smart watch is the S1. It is said that apple is using Samsung’s ARM built chips for its iPhone range. It is also said that the Korean electronics giant is behind Apple Watch’s System in Package design as well.
Sensor
Smartwatches are all about sensors and contains a gyroscope and an accelerometer in tracking movement and health.
Storage
The watch comes with an 8GB storage facility where 2GB has been dedicated to music.
Supported apps
With the help of the WatchKitAPI developers have been working on watch apps for some time. At the WWDC 2015 launch, native apps support will arrive with the inclusion of watchOS2. The Tim Cook CEO of Apple said at the WWDC that this was a giant move as developers around the world will be able to create apps for the benefit of people’s lives. The app logic will be transferred directly to the watch, which means stand-alone apps will be supported in the watches itself. This will be able to work independently tapping into the network as well as accessing health information.
Siri
Siri is also available as a voice recognition feature in the smart watch which can find and dictate messages, check the calendar and find places as well. Siri is expected become smarter and will even be able to reply to emails in a smarter way after updates later this year.
Notifications
The smartwatch is able to display notifications from SMS to Facebook. The system built into the smartwatch is smart. It can analyze the incoming SMS and give the user a set of custom replies. The reply can be sent as an audio file or transcribed by the smartwatch with the use of voice recognition. Graphics can also be added to the messages using emoji’s which can be sent to friends and colleagues.
Heart Rate
There is an optical heart rate monitor which has been built into the smart watch. This is an especially useful feature that could help in sporting activities. With the use of infrared and LED technology, the blood flow, and the pulse can be monitored by the smart watch which is a cool feature. One disappointing feature is the GPS which is intended to save battery life on the watch, is not available with the smartwatch
Touch
One of the impressive features of the smartwatch is the Digital Touch. It is a cool way of communicating as sketch images can be shared, can be used as a walkie-talkie and even share the vibration of your heart beat with other Apple wearable users.
Apple Pay
With the use of NFC technology payments can be made using the smart watch. This feature was introduced with the release of the iPhone 6. This feature will be able to contain all loyalty, credit and debit card number which were stored in the passbook app. The transfer can be done by waving your wrist with the smartphone in front of a reader.
Battery Capacity
The battery capacity of the smart watch is 205mAh. This is not impressive as to say the least.
